I am a scholar, journalist, editor and photographer, from Santiago, Chile, living in East Lansing, Michigan.

I am a Fulbrighter, currently studying the PhD in Information and Media from Michigan State University in the Journalism research area. I am a Teaching Assistant at the School of Journalism of MSU.

Before, I worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Journalism of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and as an Instructor at Finis Terrae University.

My areas of interest are Journalism Studies and Political Communication.

I have worked on projects about misinformation and fact-checking, current affairs, media democracy, journalists in presidential debates, digital news and media industry.

Analyst of politics and communication in different media outlets.

I hold a Master Erasmus Mundus in Journalism, Media and Globalization at Aarhus University and The Danish School of Media and Journalism in Denmark with a joint degree in the specialization Journalism and Media Across Cultures in Hamburg University, Germany. ANID scholarship for Master studies abroad.

BA in Social Communication, Major in Journalism and a Minor in Literature from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Certification in Photojournalism from Aarhus University.

Diploma in University Teaching from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

At Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile I developed and directed the fact-checking website Factchecking.cl and I was the faculty advisor and editor in chief of the Journalism School’s magazine Kilometrocero.cl.

As a public speaker raising awareness about misinformation, I presented in the most important scientific conference in Chile: Congreso del Futuro.

In 2017 I was selected by the Fulbright Commision in Chile to be part of the program Study of the US Institutes (SUSI) for Scholars at E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

Fellow of the Salzburg Global Academy on Media and Global Change and of the Foreign Correspondent’s Programme in Finland.

I have been part of La Ruta Quetzal BBVA 2004.

In 2016 I was the Assistant National Leader of the Chilean Delegation of the Ship for World Youth Leaders.

I have written in several publications as  the Chilean edition of Rolling Stone, La Tercera, El Mostrador, La Segunda, Domingo Magazine of El Mercurio newspaper, among other.

Since I was a 19 year old student, I started working in radio and written media.

Como conferencista preocupado de alertar sobre el fenómeno de la desinformación, presenté en el evento científico más importante de Chile: Congreso del Futuro.
